Bamboo is a type of grass, of which fibre is extracted and re-assembled to produce flooring planks. It can be assembled vertically one fibre next to the other, or horizontally one fibre on top of the other. Due to its engineered assembly structure, Bamboo is extremely stable.
Color: Bamboo natural color is light yellow. When carbonised, Bamboo will have a light to mild brown color.
Grain: Due to its linear assemble, horizontal bamboo will offer one to two centimetre wide strips with bamboo typical knots while vertical bamboo will have 4 millimeter wide strips with the same knots.
Hardness: Janka values vary widely between various manufacturers & between horizontal & vertical construction.
