Beech - Hetre
Beech was often used in furniture in the nineties (mainly children rooms). Today it can still be considered as frequently used but due to its tenderness and reduced stability, it is not anymore often used in wood flooring.
Color: Heartwood is mostly reddish brown; sapwood is generally pale white.
Grain: Mostly closed, straight grain; fine, uniform texture. It is identified by its dark pores.
Hardness: Janka Hardness: 1300 (1% harder than Northern red oak.
